Waaaaaaaaaait a minute. According to the hit Broken Lizard movie, Slammin' Salmon , the word "fracas" rhymes with Caracas.

The 's' is silent. The last 'a' being 'ar', like frac-ar

It's French (via Italian). Most consonants in French don't exist.

In french, "fracas" can be used as a noun, a verb and an adverb.
Now Clarkson nickname will be Captain Fracas or in french :

Let's see, better than contretemps, kerfuffle, to-do, quarrel, falling out, or spat, but not quite as good as dust-up, melee or donnybrook (which probably need more than two participants, though), imbroglio, rhubarb or knock-down-drag-out. Also, "tiff" would be good but only if Tiff were still on the show. Perhaps "clarkson" will become a new synonym.

Apparently in 'Murican, fracas is pronounced "fray-kuss", not "frack-ass" or "frack-us".
